1. Get a launcher

Prism Launcher is recommended. MultiMC also works.

2. Import the pack

Open Prism → Add Instance → Import → paste this URL:

https://pack.japegames.com/latest.zip

Prism will download and set everything up automatically.

3. (Recommended) Set RAM

Edit Instance → Settings → Java. Set both min and max to the same value. 8GB is a good starting point, 12GB if you have it.

4. Launch and connect

The server is already pre-loaded under the Multiplayer tab.

What Java version do I need?

Java 21. Prism can install it automatically, or get it from Adoptium.

The game crashes on launch even though I have Java 21!

Try disabling or removing Iris. On some machines (especially with Intel Integrated graphics), Iris and Twilight Forest may conflict on startup.

Low FPS?

Obviously, the first thing to try is tweaking settings. Graphics to fast, lower render and simulation distance, decreasing particles, etc. JourneyMap may also be disabled safely, as well as Iris.

I'm using the default launcher.

You can find the mods in latest.zip, as well as the tacz folder, on the downloads page.

I'm returning and need to update my mods list.

The easiest way is to redownload everything, but you can also find diffs on the downloads page. Try to compare timestamps; if you're really out of date, just start fresh.

I lost my settings when I downloaded a new pack!

Each pack release is a clean installation; your settings do not carry over. The best way to prevent this is to keep up with any changes to the mod list.
